Rothco G.I. Type Mechanics Tool Bag features a heavyweight cotton canvas with 2 outside snap pockets, 8 inside tool organizer pockets and a durable brass zipper. The mechanics tool bag measures approximately 11" x 7" x 6".
This tool bag is great for keeping track of small tools you take out of your larger tool cabinet or box to work on something. This keeps sockets from rolling down storm drains, into open machinery and engine bays, or kicked anywhere else they don't belong. It's also indispensable when working in the grass or on a trail to keep your tools and hardware from getting lost or forgotten in the underbrush. Every mechanic should have at least one of these.
Construction and materials are terrific and actually exceed the current revision of Air Force Drawing 50J8016 (NSN 5140-00-329-4306) upon which the bag is based. Internal seams are double stitched and covered in cotton tape to prevent fraying, and the brass-tooth zipper terminates against a thick flat-feld seam on each end ensuring the opening doesn't begin to tear at the corners. Pull tabs on the ends of the zipper can be used to attach a shoulder strap with carabiners if you need your hands free to carry off the component you just removed from a vehicle, or they could be used to attach the bag to webbing loops on a backpack or in a vehicle.

Very well built, love the brass zipper over nylon.
Great for small ammo bag, holds @ 1,000 rounds of mixed ammunition.
Side pockets are small, not good for much more than some Allen wrenches. Won't even fit a screwdriver.
